Natalie Tee-Gaither has been with the Alhambra Unified School District for 17 years.  
She taught at the high school, middle school, and elementary levels, and had a brief stint
as an instructional specialist.  She joined AUSD’s management team as the district’s
public information officer, and then became an elementary assistant principal and a high
school assistant principal of instruction.  Currently, she serves as principal of Repetto

Julie received her Masters from California State University Fullerton in Educational
Leadership and Administration and her Bachelors degree from CSU Long Beach in
Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Human Development. Currently Julie is Assistant
Principal for two elementary schools in Newport-Mesa Unified. She has a passion for
the integration of visual and performing arts in education as well as developing the

Jerry graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a B.A. in industrial
education. He taught wood and cabinetmaking for over 20 years starting at Hamilton
High, his alma mater, before transferring to John Marshall.  Prior to teaching, he was a
professional cabinetmaker working in his father’s business. He served as department
chair and coordinator of 6 vocational technical academies at Marshall.  He earned his
Master of Science Degree from California Lutheran University in Counseling and
Guidance along with his Pupil Personnel Services Credential. After briefly serving as a
counselor, he landed the job of head counselor at Marshall when he completed his

Debbie Kotani  
Assistant Principal of Business and Activities, Alhambra High School Alhambra US
Debbie Kotani has been working in the Alhambra Unified School District for eleven
years.  She was first hired as a Girls’ Varsity  Basketball head coach at Alhambra High
School, soon afterwards was hired as a sixth grade teacher in the same school district.  
She also taught Kindergarten and first grade.  Debbie was an instructional
specialist/literacy coach and an assistant principal at a K-8 school prior to joining the
Alhambra High School team.  Debbie received a basketball scholarship at CSU Los
Angeles where she earned her bachelor’s degree, teaching credentials, and master’s
degree.  She is currently working on her doctorate’s degree at the University of La

Gustavo Reyes

Gustavo Reyes was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia and raised in Glendale,
California. He has a B.A. in Economics from UCLA, an MBA from Pepperdine
University, and an M.Ed from University of La Verne.  He worked in the financial
industry as a stock broker, spending much of his time in New York at the World Trade
Center.  In 1997, he switched careers and joined LAUSD; serving for 7 years as a
classroom teacher before becoming a middle school math coach.  In 2006 he became
Assistant Principal at Pacoima Middle School. He enjoys exploring, running, weight
training, swimming and dancing. The two places in the world he has most dreamed of
visiting are Cuba and Thailand. It looks like this summer one of those dreams will finally

Jenny received her B.A. from University of California, Santa Barbara, and her teaching
credential from National University. She directed her attention to public education
rather late in her career, having begun as an Information Technology Trainer before
devoting years to directorial positions at the corporate and university levels. She
continues to fuse her IT background with her career in education, and it has helped her
(quite recently) obtain the job of her dreams in a district position. However, she’ll
continue in a teaching capacity (something she has always loved) as a part-time
aerobics instructor, which she has been for 18 years. Jenny also enjoys running, writing,

Martin Griffin currently is a principal on special assignment with the Escondido Union
High School District, in Escondido, CA.  He is currently responsible for the planning
for and implementation of Learning Centers on all of the district’s comprehensive sites.  
He is also responsible for the implementation of the districts new initiative of guaranteed
admissions to Cal State San Marcos, (MAP).  Martin holds a Masters of Arts in
Secondary Education Administration.  He enrolled in the joint Ed.D program with
UCSD, CSUSM and SDSU.  Martin has worked both in private and public school
