Administrators - Summer 2012

1. ELIA BUSTAMANTE     elia.bustamante@unitedforsuccess.org
Principal, United for Success Academy, Oakland Unified School District
Elia Bustamante received her Administrative Credential from California State University,
East Bay through New Leaders for New Schools; her MA in Education from Loyola
Marymount University through Teach For America; and her B.A. in Psychology,
Sociology, and Spanish from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is currently
serving as the Principal of United for Success Academy, a community school located in
the Fruitvale area of Oakland, CA. She enjoys spending time with her family, singing,
and dancing.

2. SHOSHANA YUDIN    shoshyudin@gmail.com
Program Specialist, Huntington Beach City School District
Shoshana received her Masters from California State University Fullerton in Educational
Leadership and Administration and her Bachelors in Science from CSU Long Beach in
Sociology.  Currently, Shoshana is transitioning from the Autism Specialist to the
Program Specialist in Huntington Beach City School District.  She has a passion for
facilitating systems change and implementing parent education into the programs of the
families in which she works.  Prior to being an administrator, Shoshana worked with
students from grades Pre-K through 3rd in a Special Day Class setting.  Besides the
addiction to sports especially professional football (Go Pack Go), Shoshana enjoys
practicing yoga, wine tasting and just trying new foods.

3. KRISTI FISH    kfish@rossschool.k12.ca.us
Interim Principal/Vice Principal,  Ross School District
Kristi Fish earned her B. A. in Liberal Studies with a supplement in Child Development
and an emphasis in Language Arts.  After earning her teaching credential, she taught
overseas on the island of Saipan for two years.  She returned to the Bay Area teaching
second-third multi-age classes on the campus of Stanford University.  She then earned a
MA in Educational Administration and currently is the Principal at Ross Elementary
School, where she loves her devoted staff, eager students, supportive parents and small
community. In her free time, Kristi can be found with her family hiking, running, mountain
biking, going to the beach and playing with her family.  She enjoys anything near water,
meeting people, and time outdoors.  

4. AIMEE ROSS    alr8827@lausd.net
Instructional Specialist,  Horace Mann Middle School, Los Angeles Unified SD
Aimee received her M.A. from CSU Northridge and her B.S. in Criminal Justice from
Northeastern University in Boston.  She is currently serving as a first year administrator
at Mann M.S. and is “lovingly” referred to as “Boss Ross”!  Aimee has the privilege of
spending her educational career at Mann, teaching Social Studies and ESL, as well as
serving as the English Learner and Title 1 Coordinator.  During the past nine years,
Aimee also worked in conjunction with the District to provide professional development
and technical support on a variety of subjects.  Aimee can often be found aboard a
cruise ship during school breaks! When resting her sea legs, her favorite place to be is on
a beach with her Kindle!

5. ELENA PAUL    epaul@hlpusd.k12.ca.us
Principal,  Glen A. Wilson High School, Hacienda La Puente Unified SD
Ms. Elena Paul has been at Glen A. Wilson High School as the principal for the past four
years.  Under her leadership, Wilson has achieved above 800 API and received 6year
IB and WASC accreditation, CIF championship titles in various sports, and countless
distinguished awards in visual performance arts, community service, and leadership. Prior
coming to Wilson, Mrs. Paul worked at Los Angeles Unified School District for
twenty-two years. She is highly respected for her in-depth knowledge of college
counseling, curriculum, instruction, and assessments.  As a teacher, she taught English,
ESL, and Art in secondary and higher education.  Mrs. Paul is happily married with two
sons. When she is not at school, or at home, she spends her time serving in various
educational organizations.

6. DALE REINERT    dale.reinert@lausd.net
Coordinator, Healthy Start Program,  Los Angeles Unified School District
Dale Reinert is the Program Coordinator for both the Children's Health Access and
Medi-Cal Program (CHAMP) and the Healthy Start Program in Student Health and
Human Services Division of the Los Angeles Unified School District. In August 2011,
CHAMP was awarded a $1 million grant from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare
Services to expand outreach and enrollment to targeted populations within thirteen high
need communities. As leader of the 72 Healthy Start sites servings 428 schools, Mr.
Reinert manages community outreach, case management and student support in low
income areas throughout the Los Angeles area.  Dale Reinert has a bachelor's degree
from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in English Language Arts and a master's
degree in Counseling Services from Fordham University, New York, NY.

AMPORN SUWANPRATET   amporn.dawn@gmail.com
Meet Amporn Suwanpratet!  She will become your new best friend in Thailand.  She is a
key support member of our Thailand Program for School Leaders, and speaks excellent
English.  And each candidate from the past 7 summers, has come to rely on her for a
multitude of reasons. You will too.  Amporn works in the International Relations
Division, Office of the President at Chiang Mai University.  In addition, also operates a
travel agency service.  She can help will all your travel plans in Thailand, and even to
Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.  Our international program is truly lucky to work together
with her. Amporn has two small children- a son named, 'Dawn' and a daughter named,

Dr. Orozco received her Ph.D. in educational administration from the University of
Minnesota; her M.A. from Calif. State University, Long Beach; and her B.A. from
Whittier College.  She is Professor of Educational Leadership and past Director of the
Professional Administration Credential Program (Tier II) at California State University,
Fullerton. Her experience includes 34 years in educational leadership including both
public and private educational settings, district and county offices of education, and
higher education administration.  Major research and publication endeavors include
technology in education and administration, educating diverse populations, as well as
effective interagency collaboration.  She continues to conduct research internationally
including Brazil, Thailand and Vietnam.  She is an avid surfer and runner.
